The HIV Stigma course is designed for nurses in Nevada who provide or oversee emergency medical services in hospital or primary care settings. It is important for these nurses to understand the stigma, discrimination, and unrecognized biases faced by individuals living with or at risk of acquiring HIV. In Nevada, all nurses are required to complete training on this topic within two years of starting their work in these settings. This course is Nevada Board of Nursing approved for 2 continuing education hour credits and meets the required HIV/Stigma training for nurses in Emergency Medical Services in Hospitals and Primary Care Settings.
